WORK CONTEXTCesvi's presence dates back to 1996, initially involved in development activities. Starting from the autumn 2000, in response to the changes in the environmental and political context, Cesvi has worked to reduce the precariousness of the Palestinian economic situation through cash for work initiatives and support for the young people of Beit Leid. Two projects were implemented in Tulkarem, both concerning the support to unemployed workers through community based activities.
The objective of this project is to create Microcredit centres for women, to reinforce their role in the society and to create income generation activities in Tulkarem district. We are now looking for an intern who will support our expatriate staff in the project management.
The internship is free: Cesvi will provide housing and insurance.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The internship will start in January 2010.
The person will respond to the Project Coordinator and HQs Desk Officer
Main tasks:
The intern will support the senior staff in ensuring successful and effective international presence in the Country:
- Assist the Project Coordinator in the daily activities
- Collect and elaborate data
- Liaise with local staff and other NGOs
- Assist in administration's activities
- Undertake visits to the project site to gain a clear understanding of
project conditions, requirements and constraints
